All mares bred to our stallions must be prior approved and be registered. We reserve the right to decline any mares for eligibility. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

AKC Ranch, home of Choate Performance Horses is owned and operated by Kyle and Ann Choate, with their son - Coy Choate. We strive to provide foundation bred horses with sound minds, perfect conformation and the ability to be an all around performer and producer.
We are presently located on a 5-acre property in Buckeye, Arizona. Our future plans are to move to our ranch just outside of Warner, Oklahoma. All of our stallions are handled on a daily basis and we strongly believe in handling each and every horse with the utmost care and respect. All our stallions have sweet natures and become great riding horses! (See our paint stallions' page for proof on his handling!)

In order to provide and insure the highest success for any foals produced by our stallions, none of our AQHA stallions will be opened to the current breeding season until they are "proven". (Look towards 2009 for a possible limited bookings to a very few select mares!) It is of utmost importance to us to be able to provide you, the potential client, with the best knowledge we can on our stallions' abilities and performance. Each of these stallions are built correctly, have impeccable breeding and strong willing minds. The fact that they are beautifully colored, is just the icing on the cake!

New Updates:
Our new stud prospects are progressing WELL in their training. Both boys have been saddled and ridden already! Have very soft heads and move naturally with reining and lead changes. We are very excited to see how they continue to progress and what events they will excel in. Check back often for more updates and more photos!!

We are offering our Wimpys Silver Ace mare FOR SALE. We are asking $3000.00 for her. She is broke to ride and has done ranch work, been on cows and has taken to jumps with ease. With continued hunter/jumper training, she would make a beautiful jumping horse but she would also make a great riding horse, if that is your interest as well. She is a registered quarter horse, going back to Skipper, Jet, Winchester, Bart AND the great Wimpy! She is Hypp N/N!! She has a big white blaze on her face! Very vibrant sorrel color! Sweet mare! Our APHA Tobiano Stallion is also for sale and will be standing at stud until sold. We are asking $8,000.00 for him. He is broke to ride, gentle as a gelding, can be ridden bareback with a piece of baling twine! Small kids have ridden him! Has been used for ranch work as well as been on cows.
